fresh H2O rod and reel combo
This is a great looking rod and reel. This rod has a great feel to it. I bought the Fall River rod with the L2a reel. Not sure you can find a better rod and reel for the money.

Rod/reel combo
Got this for my daughter for a Montana trip this summer as an alternative to the usual suspects: orvis, reddington, tfo. The jury won’t be in until after the trip, but I was pleasantly surprised when we threw it in the yard. It is forgiving, but livelier than other rods at this level and my daughter could feel the rod load, which, in my opinion, is so important to developing her cast. Only negative for me was the neon fly line, but maybe that will help her too.

Signature Fresh H20 Sacramento #6 Rod and L2A Reel Combo
A year ago I called the shop interested in a new rod and reel. They recommended their Signature Fresh H20 with a L2A reel Sacramento #6 combo for a great all around set up. They were spot on! I couldn't be happier with it! Everything from the finish of the rod to the action is outstanding. It handles dry flies with delicate ease and big bass streamers with confidence. The large arbor reel is smooth with plenty of drag power. The finish and look of the reel is amazing, something you have to hold in your hand to truly appreciate. As for The Fly Shop staff they were extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. Their customer service is second to none. I would recommend the combo and the shop to anyone. Thanks again for all your help.

Signature Fresh H2O Rod
I have three of these rod/reel packages, in wt. 4,5, & 6. In general I think they are a good value for the cost and I enjoy fishing with them. The L2 reel felt a bit heavy at first but the large arbor and smooth drag compensate are very nice. My comment here is about the reel seat on the rod. The photo appears to show a reel seat with double uplocking rings, however all three of mine have a single ring. I first noticed it loosening slowly as I fished, and it would start to feel wobbly, which would remind me to tighten it. But recently while fishing, the reel simply dropped off into waist deep water. Fortunately I had the drag set tight and could pull it up off the bottom. I know this is an economy rod, but my suggestion would be to manufacture these with double rings - for even a few $ more I think it would greatly improve this rod. I am otherwise very pleased with them.

All you need for a reasonable price
I'm very pleased with the quality and performance of this product. The 9' 4 wt. graphite rod has enough touch to be stealthy, but enough back bone to get you where you need to be in bigger waters. The L2a reel looks fantastic with the rod, and is installed with backing and Rio Gold line. It even has its own reel pouch. All of your components can be broke down and stored in a nice looking, sturdy carrying case for easy transport to and from the creek. Upon opening the box, you are five minutes from being able to use everything. You'll be very happy with this rig. I've been looking for the right one for years, and for the price, you're not going to find much better than this.
