A specialty dry fly hook that is used when you want a shorter shank than the standard 100. This hook can also be used for nymphs, even though we recommend it mainly for dries. Mercer's Micro Mayfly; one of the most popular mayfly nymphs ever created, is tied on the 921. Some of the more common flies that are tied on this hook are:

Great Hooks - great value!
I have been using Fly shop hooks for years. They perform as well as hooks costing much more. I particularly like the 2X short dry fly hooks for small flies since they allow a wider gap for consistent secure hook ups.
