Product Description
A newer style hook that's popularity has risen the last couple of years for tying mayfly nymphs, midges, caddis pupa, and eggs. This is also a great stinger hook used for smaller articulated summer steelhead flies. This point is much sharper than a standard scud style hook and is slightly heavier and stronger than similar styles of hooks. Most of our custom tied Zebra Midges are on this hook. Some of the more common flies that are tied on this hook are:

Hook order
I placed my order on Jan 18 and FINALLY received it on Feb 2, at a cost of $11.95 via UPS. The combined weight of the hooks could not have been much more than 1 ounce., should have gone USPS and certainly wouldn’t have taken so long to get to me. Absolutely unacceptable service.

fly shop 2500 hook
Great hook for my latest tying - a fresh water 'surf candy'. The 2x short 2x heavy straight shank is perfect. A really good egg hook also.

tfs 2500 hooks
I really like the style of the hooks with the little bit of upturned hook. They are very sharp and hold fish well. I would have given 5 stars, but they aren't all totally symmetrical.(the eye can be a little crooked on some.)

Baitfish patterns
Works well for the baby fat minnow baitfish pattern though a bit longer shank than the carp bonio hook used in the original. This hook is nearly identical to the TMC 2499spbl hook but has an almost imperceptible micro-barb.

great hooks, not all packages contain 25 hooks, first pk I used only had 23.
