Product Description
The best rod for the buck in fly fishing!
Our Fresh H2O Series fly rods are exactly the right choice for most anglers. They're a step away from the ultra-fast action of many contemporary rods and a shift toward a smooth, forgiving action that best suits most of the anglers that step into the boats with our guides or walk into our shop on their way to one of our California rivers, streams, or lakes.
Features Include:
- Forgiving actions combined with responsive high modulus graphite. It's a marriage of design and materials that compensates for errors and a less than expert casting stroke.
- Multiple graphite combinations, giving each Fresh H2O rod a slightly different action. Our smooth trout rods don't behave like steelhead rods, and our steelhead rods have the action and power to pack the mail and deliver flies as far as necessary.
- Every Fresh H2O rod includes an extra tip to insure an accident doesn't spoil a trip, and all the models are now packed into a convenient, sturdy, zippered, segmented, cordura rod/reel case.
- All Fresh H2O rods have a beautiful, protective Montana green finish, hardwood reel seats, and fighting butts on the seven and eight weights.
- The Fresh H2O lightweights have enough muscle to cover big spring creeks like Hat Creek or Fall River and still turn over long leaders and dry flies. Our 4 and 5 weight rods naturally open up the loop to turn over long leaders and help present dry flies accurately and delicately.
- The Fly Shop's® Trinity and Mad River models are virtual wrist rockets that have enough strength to reach out and knock the spots off any trophy trout, bass, or steelhead.
- Fresh H2O rods are warranteed by The Fly Shop®. We'll replace or repair any Fresh H2O rod for the original purchaser, charging no more than $45 plus $11.95 shipping. It's a great deal without an expensive, hidden premium for a lifetime guarantee.

Fall River Rod and Reel Combo
I purchased this rod and reel as my first set. This is top quality stuff. I am very happy with my purchase. A few months ago I stopped by The Fly Shop on my way back from McCloud Ca. They were super helpful and pointed me to all of the tools needed to get started as a new fly fisherman. So when I was ready to pull the trigger? I was confident that what I was purchasing was high quality gear. If you ever find your way through Redding Ca, stop by and see their amazing inventory. You will not be disappointed.

Worked Great
I went on the Mongolia headwaters and canyon trip (fantastic by the way) and since my old rods were long two piece I needed new, shorter, 4 piece rods for the trip to catch large taimen. As only an occaisional flyfisher, I did not want to spend a lot of money for the three rods recommended for this trip and bought H2O fresh TFS rods on the advice of TFS staff. TFS loaded them up with the recommended lines for the trip and I was all set to go. All 3 rods (one 6 and two 8) worked great including bringing in the taimen I caught! I am not an experienced caster, however, these worked great for me.

Fresh H2O Fall River 5wt Combo
I bought the rod to leave setup in the boat so I would have a 5wt on-hand to pick up or hand to someone for those rare lower Sac dry fly moments—though, I’m enjoying casting it, so it may get more use than that. I wanted a slower action rod for gentler down-river hook sets on these big fish. I haven’t fished it a ton, yet, but I already love it. I throws a nice open loop and has great effortless power and it tracks really straight for a slower action rod up to about 50’. The reel is fantastic! All of these things are pretty over-engineered now, honestly, but it seems better than reels that cost me the price of the whole outfit. Speaking of price, I’ve never seen anything close to it in the price range—with an extra tip, great warranty and legendary Fly Shop Redding service, I don’t see how you can go wrong.

New to fly rods
I have been practicing on my own and being taught by my 14 year old son how to fly fish. The kid is amazing at it! He is the reason why I am now getting into fly fishing. So after 3 weekends of fishing (practicing) with my H2O I finally hook and landed a fish! I had many tales but wasn’t doing one thing right then another thing…. This Rod for me as a beginner is great! My son wanted to use it but I said not until I catch one on it first. He smiled and used his rod this morning and caught 4 nice trout. Great rod for the price and warranty sounds great hope I never have to use it. My son wants one now so I am saving for another.

Great setup, great price
I took my H20 rod/reel/line setup on a trip to Alaska and used it to successfully catch grayling, Dollie Varden, big rainbows, and Coho. Once I got to know the rod, it was fantastic!
