Not Alaska Approved
I bought Loon brand "Big Water Camo Drops" for a recent trip to Southwest Alaska (The Goodnews River). They were a complete failure. You cannot crimp them hard enough to stay in place; they have to sit behind a knot or swivel, otherwise, they slide forward. And when you do crimp these buggers, there is a very good chance they will fall apart. I like most Loon products, but these drops are crap. According to the outfitter I was with, they know the product and say it is most definitely not Alaska-approved.
