Flexo Crab - #6

This is a very realistic looking crab. I put one of these in front of tailing fish on two occasions on my last Belize trip, got a follow and an eat, and missed both of them. After I missed the fish I reeled in and looked at the fly. The crab body, which should be 90 degrees relative to the hook, was now smashed up against the hook. The permit's crusher did this. Problem is that once it happens, the rigid body prevents a hook set. I was not smart enough to figure out what was going on until it happened twice.

Well made. Tried it on permit but no take. Can’t wait to see if it works on redfish here in Texas.
