Flashtail Minnow - #3/0

I fished this fly for freshwater largemouth in Southern California. The wht/yel/brn pattern. The lake water was a dirty green. I figured the flash in this pattern could add to my success rate, which it did, big time! Stuck some really healthy bass mid day over some submerged grass beds. The large amount of mirror like flash worked really well during the high sun and it added some good action as well! I won't leave home without it. I look forward to using it for calico bass of Catalina as well. I'll just need to add some heavy weed guards. All the best!
