Product Description
This pattern can be tied in purple or black. For the purple use a pink chenille head and for the black use an orange chenille head. Tie up a bunch without the egg, wash your hands and go back and add the egg as not to get purple or black dye on the egg. Weighting the fly is an option.
Tie in marabou and flash-a-bou for the tail. Tie in hackle and crystal chenille. Wrap chenille forward, tie off, leaving space for an egg. Palmer the hackle forward and tie off. Wash hands.
Tie in chenille for egg, cross wrap over itself a few times and tie off at the eye of the hook. Whip finish and glue.

Killer on late Sept Silvers
Fished these last weekend on the Kenai and the transitioning Silver Salmon loved them - over a dozen landed during the 5 hour fish. Also landed and hooked-not-landed two nice Steelheads. They liked the purple, not so much the black. Single small splitshot about 18" up, various speeds drifting and stripping.
