FLY RECIPE:
HOOK: TFS 5263, sizes 6-12
THREAD: Ultra 140 Tying Thread, match to color
BODY: 6mm Fly Foam - cut to shape, slot to fit over hook, glued. Brown/black Permanent Marker for spots
LEGS: Medium Centipede Legs - 3 strands knotted, then 2 strands clipped leaving one leg for kickers. Front legs just one strand of centipede legs
WING: Hen Back, lacquered heavily
UNDERWING: Krystal Flash, uv tan
HEAD: 6mm Fly Foam, cut to shape
COLLAR: Super Fine Dry Fly Dubbing, tan

I fished this hopper pattern almost exclusively last year in Chile. It proved to be the most productive fly of the trip. Unfortunately I ran out of the pattern 3/4 of the way through the trip and had to use another hopper pattern which worked but not as effectively.
