New for 2025 from Galvan Fly Reels is their Swing Reel series that is purpose built for the most dedicated of two-handed anglers. Using the same fully-sealed, carbon fiber on stainless disc, drag platform as Galvan’s Grip saltwater reel series the drag on this reel is overly suited to match the wettest conditions of the Pacific Northwest or B.C.. The classically styled solid back with full cage frame design still allows palm access to the spool if needed when trying to slow down a hard-running steelhead trying to exit the pool. Fully anodized Gunmetal frame and spool with anodized black accents. Five sizes available from a 2-3 Trout Spey applicable size up to the 10+ size for the largest Atlantic salmon Spey sticks.
