Being stainless steel, the 7258 is saltwater corrosion safe and has been tested by many of our traveling anglers, International saltwater destinations, with great success. Some of the Best
These are good hooks at a great price. I tie a lot of saltwater flies for surf fishing. The TFS 7258 has replaced other hooks that I used for Clouser, crab, shrimp, and other flies for the beach.

Hook Reviw
Purchased 100 hooks (#2 & #4) SS hooks, my primary use is Bone Fish & salt water application. Some of the hooks actually "bent" while "Palmering" during fly tying. I guide roughly 200 days annually in Belize and hope this was an isolated issue? The price is competitive and the visual quality appear spot on. Just encountered this issue while tying and caught my attention. "Tight Lines".

TFS 7258 Stainless Steel Hook
I rated the TFS 7258 hook as 4 stars instead of 5 stars because of the wire diameter....I would have preferred a little heavier wire. I use sizes 1/0 down to 8 for saltwater flies that my daughter for use in Florida. One needs to keep in mind the size and species of fish you are targeting. I have tied Shrimp, crabs, Kwan, Sliders, Crazy Charlies, Gotchas, Bonecrushers, Clousers, Deceivers, Gurglers and Surf Candy and have received no complaints from the users.
