Product Description
This fly was created by our own Mike Mercer, fly tying guru. This fly is outstanding for both drifting or skating, the stacked foam head allowing the fly to literally skate on top of the water. Large enough to tie a midge or emerger beneath to get all the action.
Using closed cell fly tying foam with the classic profile of a standard October Caddis pattern, Mike Mercer was able to create our go to fly when fishing October Caddis.

HOOK: TMC 5263, sizes 6 - 12
RIB: Flashabou, pearl
HACKLE: Hackle, brown - palmered
BODY: Midge Tubing, brown
LEGS: Round Rubber Hackle, small white
THORAX: Dubbing, hare's ear
LOWER SKATING LIP: 2mm Fly Foam, tan
UPPER SKATING LIP: 2mm Fly Foam, orange
UNDERWING: Deer Body Hair, orange
OVERWING: McFlyFoam Egg Yarn, orange
