I always keep a dozen if I am doing any subsurface fishing I buy the green flash, Black version. In lakes & slower rivers it’s the bomb! Whether it is a 1lb Small Mouth from a lake, or a 14” Rainbow in a lazy river, it never dissapoints me on my 4wt!

These babies slay Small Mouth & Trout
I have pulled 1- 2lb Small Mouths out of Siskiyou Lake with a 3-4 Weight (sink tip) as well as endless Trout from the 'Holy Water' up here is Southern Oregon. Unless I am fishing dry or nymphing. This is my 'go to fly! In N. Cali and S. Oregon!

perfect for a certain lake
I fish these in a lake in B.C. for small trout. I use a 2wt rod with floating line. The bead head gives is just the right sink to be in the zone.
